Hey dirtburners, thanks for the coments👍🏼

I ran this buggy at the 92 Nats at harewood when it got rained out and we ended up running indoors on carpet.I moved to a trx-1 just after the 93 nationals at Palmerston North, had a few friends driving them and also got my butt kicked at the Nats using the cougar so thought it was time for a change.

Didn’t last to long though as we struggled to get parts out of the importer at the time so I moved to a Losi xx (still have it) just before the 94 Nats in Auckland where I finished 3rd in 2mod behind Mark temple -1st with a stealth gearboxed triumph and Darren Johnston -2nd with a TRX-3.

Interesting...cheers!

I always liked the Schumacher's back in the day. About a year ago I got back into buggies. I looked at Cougar's, but thought it might be difficult to get parts, so I got a TRX-1 instead. My TRX-1 was raced at the 1992 ROAR Nationals in Texas by a young Team Traxxas driver.

It seems vintage buggy racing is growing in the North Island now.

Wow! That is cool. How was it done? Is it durable enough for a runner?

Hydro dipped. I can’t see why you couldn’t use it on a runner,
but like any type of coating it will get scratches
