Hello all,
I am looking for information on the dog bone spring and spacer ASC6372.

I am hoping to find out the general specifications of the parts so I can just order replacements
If anyone has one could they measure the spring
Length at rest
length fully compressed
Outer diameter

If anyone know the other specifications such as spring rate that would be awesome

For the bushing what is the
thickness
inner diameter
outer diameter

I am hoping to go to a generic site such as https://www.thespringstore.com to order some of these

Edit
found the information by measuring a NIP set
Spring information
.7 "
.2" compressed
Wire thickness .01” .3mm
Washer
od .24” 6.3mm
I’d.2” 3.3mm
Thickness .06” 1.6mm

A ball point pen spring is really close, trimmed in half for each side.

I made a post in your other thread about this.

Those fit like the originals, whereas the spring from a pen is too big around.

Depends on which ball point pen you use. There are tons of different sizes and have only ran across a few that were too big. But like Jwscab stated ball point pen springs work just fine if you find the right size. It was easy for us since the LHS had pens made up for the shop that worked perfectly😉

I took the measurements from a new 6372 set and found these that match.

I was able to score an NIP 6372 set but I think I will get a set of these since I recall these springs being easy to lose. Thanks.

I don't have a RC10 with dog bones and springs to try this but was wondering if two red shock o-rings one in the outdrive and one in the axle would work without binding things up. Similar to the RC10GT RTR set up.

I can try that on my build. Part of the reason I am looking for the information is that I am making a personal spreadsheet that specs out all of the Asc part numbers as industry standard specifications.

Stuff like nuts, bolts, bearings, bushings, e-clips, gears springs and spacers.

Most of the time the parts are readily available via a hobby site for less money; it keeps me busy and I am learning how to specify parts.

I just found out rc captured thrust bearings are used in gun smithing as roller bearings. That was when I was looking for 4-40 threaded titanium rod. It’s a bit like jumping from one Wikipedia article to the next.
