Associated full newsletter

Post by crazyfingers »

I found this site a few days ago and it got me to dig out my old RC10 again after I stopped racing back in 96.
I found this old newsletter that Associated sent me around 1987. I searched here and couldn't find any info about it. Were there any other newsletters, or was this just a one off thing?

I just noticed this, but does the car on the back cover have double thick shock towers? They look like carbon fiber or some other composite. They are definitely different form the prototype car.

Check out the top shock mounts. Look like wheel collars. The servo is sitting backwards and front mount is sideways. Battery mounted forward. Lots of little oddities! Dubro style steering links. Almost looks like baloons over the springs. And that impossible to find fiberglass trans brace

Those are balloons on the shocks. Associated had regular balloons with the associated logo printed on them and sold them as dust covers.
I can't remember the original price but someone is asking $12.00 for these on Ebay
