Mmkay, anyhow I was just wondering if I should keep it in the package. I was going to run it in my runner RC10 just for a little front yard fun but oh well....
I probably didn't get across what I meant there...
Basically, what the dude above me said. It is worth more than el cheapo motors you can buy anywhere and has the same (or worse) performance.
Its value is its age.
Run it and you lose the only value it has.
If you don't know what to do with it, do nothing. Let it hang a few more years.
Would any of you run this motor to win a race? No <-- meaning you are not going to win any races with it.
Would any of you run this motor because it aint worth anything? No again <-- meaning it is worth something
Just in case further clarification was needed, haha.
I have a bunch of old motors that are new, but never run. I put them in my "vintage" kits that are shelf monsters.
I've never done a shelf queen but I will be making one out of my original X2 ...I was thinking that maybe I slap these b-boys on it....but then my bad voice kicks in and says whats the fun...

their never be worh a ton Run them I run mine, even BID I did people liked it or laughed at me but I liked the wait and I never had a tire blow out. or break a rim.
Looks like a nice shelfer if someone's looking for one.
Maybe a little pricey, but he's in the ballpark I think and it does say obo.
If he won't ship, I'd be willing to pick it up and ship it for gas money to help out.
Met up wit fellow TC member Crash Cramer today for a run. He brought his Nissan King Cab and VW Beetle. I brought my XC Brat, vintage Grasshopper, and Datsun 240Z rally car. Had a good time and did'nt break anything for once.

I've seen the Fox, Avant, Hotshot, Hornet, Grasshopper, and online, I saw a Buggy Champ. That's the one I'm looking for. They run pretty well but have limited range and run time. Try micro terrain titans . That's what my box said. On the bottom of...
I recently dug my old RC10s out of the basement and have put one together. I have a new battery and a new engine that I bought myself for christmas.
I am using an old novak receiver and an old novak T1 speed controller. The new engine is a trinity...

Just start fresh on your solder connections. You probably have a cold joint that is limiting the transfers of power and overloading the esc. Make sure you are using good solder (ie. deans) with flux and a hot iron. I my experiences, this should...
OK, this is for you guys whom say I don't run anything or have anything in my collection that does run. Yes, we have one.... a Tamiya New Beetle dressed up to look like the 2000 Beetle Cup Spec car or RSi (Anthony should be so proud! )....

I must admit, a Losi micro-t + a borrowed terrier for a week + a tiled floor = endless amusement, she was convinced it was a mouse I think, and the instincts took over, but she couldn't chase on a slippery floor, woe betide me if she caught it on...
Didn't have any type of radio gear or a battery in it, so I know it didn't go out of range and run off
You ever misplace something and it drives you nuts ?
I had a 1/12 academy pan car I didn't use. So I listed it on ebay.
For 3 weeks it...

I ended up finding said car in a blow up mattress box that was in the bathroom closet ! Not sure how it got there !! Funny thing is , that box has been in the closet for around 3 months
I just got done refreshing my original 1988 RC10. Built it originally when I was 10. I have kept it kinda up to date up to 1994 and then just last month got it out. Almost 28 years sitting in storage. OH boy I feel old. So I had to rebuild a few...

Do the outdrive still have the smaller bearings inside them? If so, then I think the spacer is less important.
Yes the inside bearings are still there. I added the outdrive because I read a post saying that the support is needed if I put a...
