Hah! I haven't seen this until now! I don't know if it's the small size of monitor I am using but the Kanji are to small for me to read properly...I can get the gist but it doesn't seem worth writing out. If there was bigger scan then maybe...

the first one is dated from Dec. '91 and the second one from Sept. '89 (both are from the French National Championships).

summary of the blue box about the FF RC10:

- MIP tranny
- battery in front position for more traction on the front end
- steering servo at the back (body had to be cutted to fit)
- on the track the car has more traction than any other FF car present that day
- very good handling
- the rear end tends to bounce a bit when landing after jumps but not that much
- biggest drawback is the lack of steering amplitude of the front wheels, with a bit of understeering at the end of the straight line

the very last FF car is a French MRC Sand Master 8) and the winning car is the very first one FF prototype

I never knew MRC made an EP FWD buggy.
Did they ever release it?
I had a big poster of them in my room as a boy which only showed the 4wd and mentioned the RWD.
Quite a few parts look famialiar ofcourse

Anyway, great article, thankyou for scanning and uploading this

Not all of them , and you're right it would be a good theme for a focused collection

Does there appear to be a single cross-mounted shock just below the wing? I may be seeing pixels that aren't there! ;)
The preceding contained opinions, beliefs and thoughts that all may not agree with. No offense was intended at any point. Carry on.

David, can you tell from looking at the picture in the magazine?

Long ago I actually made a very similar looking FWD car based on the same car (optima mid).
That one used FRP instead of dampers and worked reasonable, but it was a 190mm sedan. I wouldn't expect the same desing to work on the rear of a buggy :!:

Shocks are indeed present at the rear, if you look closely, you will see the bottom cup on the right side, the rest is hidden by the wing

There was an electric version of that one also by kyosho: Mantis series of dtm's. Similar in principele as the later M-chassis. you could build a dual engine 4wd with them LOL
They were a novice class 190mm touringcar with no dampers and torsion style springs on the arms ( kinda like the brush springs on a motor)

Tamiya also did fwd touringcars aofcourse. But FWD buggies are much rarer indeed.
