There you go, there's no reason why a separate contest couldn't be done, with a completely different set of criteria.

P.S. Nothing about this MMV Build-Off is official. I just wanted a few members to showcase their creative modding skills. There are no prizes, it's just for fun.

Yeah, thats why I want to join for the fun part, but I'll be honest in that I wont be doing any custom fab, just adding carefully selected upgrades to make a trick truck!

Be nice to do them all together though, not sure if we could get 10 trucks together, do you have 10 buggy entrants?

I'm pretty sure you'd have no trouble getting 10 truck entrants in 2 weeks, trucks are more commonplace these days as they're more numerous and more recent. I think we have 7 entrants thus far.

Sure, you're in--the contest end-date will be the end of September. I haven't even started building anything yet with mine.

This is starting to seem like a thread-hijack. I think it would've been a better idea to introduce another competition at a later date, not to have both running simultaneously.

Sounds like the there is gonna be a build-off between the buggies and trucks

I'd like to enter, but what exactly is considered modern in terms of parts? Is it anything like using some B2 and newer parts or what? Does it have to use LiPo and brushless? 2.2" modern wheels & tires?

And could I enter an on-road/oval buggy? Sorry for the questions, but I honestly don't own any modern parts or electronics.

By "modern", I mainly would like to have contestants modernize their vintage offroad buggies to improve them in various ways...and not just do box-arts or replicas. There's plenty of that already all over the forum.

By "modding", let's see customization being a significant criteria for judging; fabrication, creativity, using off-brand parts, etc. Show us something we haven't seen before.

I think doing an offroad creation would be preferred, but if it's a 1/10 buggy and meets the above 2 criteria, I wouldn't see a problem with that entry.

Do you know what sod it, I've transfered my truck build to the truck MMV.
I'll start a buggy build, got loads of spares, all packed up at mo as moving next week, but I'll start when I get unpacked!!!

This postal strike is seriously gonna affect my build for this. I have a boatload of parts I need to order but there is no point if I dont know when they will arrive.
