Never tried the jump jets, the RPM pistons do work and were used by several "team" drivers in secret...I think the oval racers had a better feel for them as it is a little hard to see enough of a difference on an off road car and most would give up without spending a lot of test time.

OK I give up... I really need help setting up the shocks in my Procat. It's been running well (transmission's holding up and even raced it a bit at Stotfold) but I can't seem to get it to handle or land right. I'm probably fighting a losing battle...

Thanks Jeff, I'll drill them out to 1.1mm and try 35wt. The droop is about 33mm and the ride height about 23mm, is that comparable with other CATs or buggies? Don't forget I'm not using the original dampers or springs.

Hello Friends,

Does anyone know of readily (or not too hardly...) available pistons that work in the old-school (trx-1, Eagle and the likes) traxxas shocks?

The AE pistons are bigger as I found out... the shock bodies are a very similar size...

Does anyone have information, ads, photos, part numbers, etc. about Oil-Filled coil over shocks for the Tamiya Grasshopper, either a Factory Tamiya hop-up, or aftermarket ???

Thanks for the info. If that last photo is for a parma shock, it is DEFINATELY not a parma. The shock body is NOT threaded.

I am not interested in the car myself, I was hoping that someone here could use it. I will likely give him 10.00 for it,...

For those who build kits without intent to run them, do you usually build and bleed the shocks as carefully as if they were to be racers, or keep the shocks dry to avoid the possibility of leakage?
I know it is unlikely that a freshly built shock...

Well, hmmm. i say fill um, with oil and just buy the extra o-rings in case they leak... But really the oil should not go bad or anything while in the shocks so I say fill um up. That way you are covered with proper damping if a shelf queen falls off...

Anyone have a recommendation on oil filled shocks that will fit the TamTech GB01 buggies? Stock ones are just bouncy air / friction type, and we have managed to bend the front shocks on both our buggies in 1 day of running.

Does anyone know if the axial(or element) 10mm pistons fit the bore and piston of vintage 10mm associated shocks?

This is mostly Traxxas parts on AE bodies. The front springs are Duratrax but the rear springs, locators, and cups are Traxxas. Screenshot_20220515-042808_Samsung Internet.jpg
