Also ordered the 4600 plus an extra esc just for the price. Just wondering though, since my brushless experience is limited, does the lower kv actually trade power for torque? Or is it just less power therefore easier to control etc? Thanks to who ever can answer that.

I will let the more experienced guys answer this for sure, but what I am sure of is that, the higher the KV the more RPM per volt on a brushless system.

The 1900 to 800 KV motors are going to give much more bottom end, and also suited for larger scale models.

Something like the 5700 castle system is used for some MT type bashers, the 9000KV system would be used for top end speed, speed runs, onroad style apps.

That answers what I am familiar with, I know there is a better explanation out there.

IMO the 4600kv works the best in off road. I have a 5700kv in my T4 and my son has the 4600kv. At our track the longest straight is 150ft. My truck is not hooked up as well and is still gaining speed at the corner where his is more controllable and maxes out right at the corner where you want it. Don't get me wrong, it is cool to still pull the front off the ground 3/4 of the way down but sometimes slower is faster. Now with the 4-pole motors out the 4600kv is even better with more torque, so a couple of teeth up on the pinion gives the grunt and extra top end speed.
