Re: So what is the rarest part
Thanks for posting that LTO_Dave...I really didn't want to go looking for it again.
There's probably dozens of hop-ups like that kit, that seem really neat to us now, but back when they were new were of questionable value and had very low sales.

Re: So what is the rarest part
the hop-up one is really hard to answer. i mean, how many of one item has to be made to be considered a "hop-up"?
i could make a handful of parts designed to hop-up an rc10, does that mean they super rare?

The hop-up one is the hardest to answer because it's the one the most people have totally forgotten about and therefore it's not likely going to be named in this thread.

Re: So what is the rarest part
I look at boxes of old Bullet/Raborn parts all the time. Trailing arms, belt drives, chassis, Invencer dirt oval parts, etc. It helps to be on the same team as the guy who owned the company though! I was on team Bullet back in the late 80's too. One day I'm going to build one of the belt drives for my car. I always wanted one yet never had one. Go figure.Phin wrote:The Bullet Racing version would be even rarer...along with just about everything else Bullet made.Charlie don't surf wrote: Rarest hop up part overall? Honestly though there are some pretty obscure hop-ups that I don't expect to ever see. For example, I've seen ads in old RCCA issues for a rocker arm kit made by Slam Dunk (I think?) that criss-crossed the RC10's front shocks across the nose.

People in the porn industry get into three-ways all the time...doesn't make a menage a trois any less rare to the rest of us.fredswain wrote:...

Re: So what is the rarest part
flip, thanks for posting that, I was wondering what the gold stub axles I had laying around were...I thought titanium, they are really light.flipwils11 wrote:Tecnacraft titanium rear stub axles (gold color) for the RC10 are pretty damn rare.
I would say a rare part is the notched shock pistons (stock parts)
Hop up part...gotta be the tuber chassis, rare and cool

Re: So what is the rarest part
Agree. Hot trick parts were terrible and now they are sought after. Funny world. The best hop up (to me) was the many ball bearing steering kits. I had one on every car. Even the hot trick steering was a little better than stock, but no bearings so hot trick just never did anything right.
