I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

That might get its own in the Other Makes section. That would be ugly.

I had been thinking about doing this for a while(but more for the losi sub-section)
The way I would do it is to have a sticky at the top of one forum. The sticky thread would not contain any of the part info, but would be a directory of inks to threads on specific part types.

I would break it down something like this:

body
chassis pan/plates
transmission
shocks
shock towers
wheels
tires
suspension parts
axles/driveline
conversion kits

The sub-thread would rise and fall in the forum depending on how long it has been since anyone added a post, but it would always be instantly available from the directory. This "official" thread would be kept clean in the format posted by Jay:

Manufacturer:
Part Description:
Part Number:
Year (approx if not known):
Notes/Comments (keep it short):

?link to a good example build on 10talk?

! < insert pic of the part here > !

Great idea, but why not include modern upgrades too? Either way, a good idea that will help out alot of people.

That catalog idea is just great !

I am all for classifying parts per type as aconsola suggested, rather than manufacturer

It makes more sense to me.

When I finally get a camera, I could post pictures of my RPM brand new arms that I just bought on a-main, but they're of little interest admittedly. :)

I'd like to represent all the RC10 modifying simpletons out there and add our support to this idea :P

One thing that would be awesome would be to put the key measurements of each parts with the picture... of course in inches AND in millimeters for us metrics  ! Seriously that could end up being a sweet database.

Yeah, it's related, but not really on topic, I'd love to get a dimension database together of suspension arms/hubs and univerals/cvds/bones so you can figure out combos that would fit together for custom projects. there is some good info on the boards about this, but it's spread all over the place. And I am talking across brands too, so you can mix and match as you see fit....

As a newbie to the RC10, I would definately find this useful. I think it would need to be segregated into 'genuine/original' hop-ups and 'possible' hop-ups. This would allow people to choose whether they take a 'purist' or 'modded' route when researching/choosing. I'd be gutted to buy/fit a hop-up to my original RC10 and then later discover that it was not an original option.
