You are right, this is a body I painted. It was my personal body. I had a fun time making it. It had a roll cage in it. I hand wound the window nets. I miss that body.

Best regards,

Curtis Husting"

Pretty cool and you can just see the internal roll cage frame. The surprise was the hand woven window net!!! Which one of you is going to do both the frame and the net this way?

Regards,
Ruffy
I'm going with an "interpretation of the photo" so as not to get myself too "wound up" in the details. The goal is to be able to take a black and white photo of my build afterwards, and have it look really really close, without knowing anything from Curtis Himself. I've always known it was his car, as the original manual photo (as opposed to a scan) shows way more detail, like his name along the drivers side window.

SCR8P, that roll cage is all yours  . I've already started masking up my body, so stay tuned.

i can't wait to see the color pic of the car so i know if i was right in my color choices. i know the stripes are red, orange, and yellow, but am only 95% certain of the roof color. i was gonna do the roof the same color as another car i saw curtis driving on one of gene's videos.

How did you know the colour of the stripes?

m_vice, you nailed it! That's what I had for desert, with the fajitas and Patron Margarita being the main course!

OK Curtis also mentioned that the drivers helmet is the same as the car

"Hi Ruffy,

I just happened to have a color picture of the car at my desk here at work. You can see the colors better. You can see the drivers helmet matches the car as well. It's the only picture I have. Have fun :)

i was right.

in one of the gene husting videos, curtis, and i believe his sister (not sure), are driving some 12th scale cars around in a tv studio, while gene was talking to the anchorwoman. the 12th scale that curtis is driving is painted the same colors.

Oh this is cool, great work getting that Ruffy!

I think the rear shock tower is black as well.

Right on SCR8P! I had the same hunch. I didn't see the video though, I found this photo a while back, and was using it as a guide/guess...this car right?

I had no idea about the blue roof though. I was thinking it was gold, the same as the lowermost stripe.
