divorces = scary things
I hope building the champ will take your mind off things too

The picture thing was just a joke.
I'm sure we're going to get flooded with champ pics from all sides in the coming months

Couple of quick pics. This is the T-shirt version. I don't plan to build this anytime soon. I already have a sweet vintage runner.

Tower took the money out of my paypal account yesterday for the Buggy Champ. I called, but the lady on the phone didn't know if it was in stock, the system still says my buggy will be in stock in early August. I'm hoping August 1 is early enough in August. :D Maybe it's wishful thinking, but the paypal charge after a few months on backorder must mean that it is either in the warehouse, or at least on the continent and on it's way to the warehouse.

I am still waiting on my Black Porsche from Tower. I haven't seen or heard anything. They ususally send a email saying it's been shipped. I haven't put my Champ order in yet, I really want two.
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

Shodog your Rough Rider runner is up there with the best for sure. Can I ask what the light buckets you have fitted are from or can you buy these anywhere?

Im realy disappointed with the new tyres having the 'Sand Blaster Jr' side wall lettering removed. I know that Tamiya did it for the right reasons as far as the collectors go but still stinks all the same. Perhaps someone could make up a stencil to cover the tyres side wall and then spray the lettering white that way.... :wink:

I thought that was kinda weird too, considering the rears still have the logos & the fronts don't...

Maybe the original front tire mold was damaged or destroyed? It would be cool to have the original Sand Blaster tires, but not having them won't bug me much.

It was April 2007 Reader's Rides of RCCA. I only remember that because my JRXS with the red & white checkerboard paint job was also in that issue on the next spread. :)
