I have an old King Cab in perfect working condition. I need to rebody it (or make it a project vehicle) and was wondering if anyone has done anything with one of these? It is just used for driving around the yard.

I love the King Cab! It was my first proper Tamiya kit.

The Kingcab body is akin to the Tamiya 959 - rare as hens teeth and they go for big bucks! They were blow molded and not vacuum formed to get the extra detail which made them really weak.

Got the truck off of Mr. lexan a while back... New chassis, missing the wheels, tires, and body. I have everything lined out as far as that goes. Ordered a McAllister hardbody body I will paint in the red/white/blue format with Bud and Nissan...

I have a Tamiya King Cab that I use as a runner every now and then, but on the last outing it stripped the splines on the wheel hex and axle. For a fix I drilled and tapped a 3mm hole thru the hex and axle, this held up for awhile until eventually...
