That same pic and quotation is on the box in the display-stand mode, dead center.

Whew, I'm slipping with the vintage scene, I almost missed out! These are posted on the Amain site as 'sold out', and available for pre-order on RCMart. I still have a built classic re-re that has not been driven, so I really don't know about this release. The CC was cool, but when they posted the chassis separate that seemed to be a better base for a build to me. This one, I guess every collector needs the 40 stamp chassis, but why is the laser engraving right where the servo will obscure half??

Other than the box stand, chassis etching, I'm guessing these will be quite similar to the RC10 CE from a while back?

As much as I wanted to make The Dead Pool vette out of this one, I may just hold on to this, if these really are limited. If the prices fall, I'll buy a cheaper one and Dead Pool it, hopefully. I can't dip that much money in black Rit dye.

This is really cool news. I think I'm going to pass though and wait for the generic RC10 without the etching and special box/stand or a load of replacement parts.

........but,will that happen? BUY NOW!
What happened to $335 MSRP on the end of a kit box, and then picking it up at the LHS for $195-$230? I blame the internet. Lock-step pricing....dissolution of the LHS...Just kind of a bummer. But positive note, RC10 40th! Seriously. Pretty cool.
Hope you're doin' something fun.

Will be interesting to see what this will mean for parts availability.

Is the intention making a car meant for the vintage racing scene, followed by part turnover and additional sales. Or just a run of kits with next to nothing of spares...

Hopefully the chassis aren't warped like the ones AE unloaded on eBay last year without mentioning they were blems.

What possessed them to lop off the back? There must be a reason. No one butchers a classic without a reason. Was this an original body for a kit that came in a very small box?

Next up: a 57 Chevy with no tail fins.

A daughter's helping her mom cook a ham. The mom cuts off and bastes both ends and the daughter asks why she did that. The mom says "It's how your grandmother cooked it", but to satisfy the daughters curiosity she asked her mom the same question. The grandmother says, "Mom always cut the ends off, I started basting them to keep the ham from drying out". Now curious both women asked the great grandmother why the ends were cut off the ham and the elderly woman replied, "For heavens sake I didn't have a pot big enough to fit a whole ham!".

Maybe their platform wasn't large enough to form the entire body?

There is some speculation on some of the Facebook Groups but nothing concrete. Some say a week, some say 2 weeks, others are saying December. Does anyone know what the projected shipping date is?

They don't have the longer CE front arms or CE front shock tower, so more like an earlier buggy but with Stealth mounting holes in the chassis.
Frankensteined RC10T3 / Franky Jr RC10GT-e (x2) / A+ stamp / Toy Story RC / Graphite replica / B1.5 BFG 5LTi / Clonewald / Hyper Hornet
