Those tires came out great, nice work. I'll see how the paint pen does, and then try the tooth pick if I can't get the pen to work.
Is there anything that easily cleans the paint off the rubber?

It's been a while since I last used my Sharpie but I think I've used ordinary paint thinner (NOT lacquer thinner) since it is oil based paint. Definitely catch it before it dries completely. I don't remember the paint being hard to remove.GreenBar0n wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2024 3:28 pmThose tires came out great, nice work. OK, stay with me here for a sec. Painting sidewall lettering on 1/24 static model tires, I noticed the oil based paint never really dries and remains tacky. Acrylic paint was the winning ticket. But then, those tiny little solid tires don't flex once mouted up. I think alot of those tires are actually vinyl? I have never lettered a "rubber" R/C tire though. Just something to consider, I guess. Or not. I really am not sure how enamel paint cures on this specific rubber compound. Or if your even gonna go with enamel (oil based) or acrylic.XLR8 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2024 9:10 pmIt's been a while since I last used my Sharpie but I think I've used ordinary paint thinner (NOT lacquer thinner) since it is oil based paint.
