So, what did you do RC today?

When it's R/C related, but doesn't fit anyplace else.

The motor is a few years older than the buggy, but i don't think that means it isn't period correct. Joel Johnson's championship winninng Ultima uses Futaba G plug Rx, ESC, and steering servo. In 1987 the new hardware would have been Futaba J plug, but he apparently used some existing electronics. There would have been plenty of those Twister motors still in use in 1996.

If a new in 1996 motor were used, it would probably be something with laydown brushes. I think that's when they were popping up in things like the Trinity X-Star stock.

I was using those Black Dean's connectors in the Mid 1980's and then switched to the same style Red Dean's in 1990.

Got a bit done on the Bullet. Called this a stopping point because although the driveshafts I had were NIP, they were weathered and a bit orange. Will let them soak overnight and continue at some point tomorrow.

I was messaged out of the blue about this gem and decided to add it to my message collection.

Made the pile of parts that used to be the Mini T I drove at the first ever Mini Nationals in 2004

back into a Mini T to run at the upcoming Mini Nationals at RC Madness 20 years later.

Not done yet but with a Rx it's runnable again. Still needs a bit of cleaning.
Consistency is the key I keep misplacing.

Got the forum SC10 all electrified.

Novak XXL receiver, Reedy 0712 servo, Radiolink esc, and a Spektrum 14T 550 motor.

I still need to get a 8.4 flat pack (hump "fits" but it's kinda janky) dedicated for it.

Another early morning road trip. I don't even know what I have here really, and the [Spanish only] seller had no idea what he had, as he only got it as payment for something. It seems to be two complete chassis and drivetrains, and some duplicate plastic parts, but only one cab and one set of wheels/tires. :? It even has, at least most of, a MFC3 Euro Style with it. It is all new, but a lot of parts are poorly painted. I see a lot of Easy Off in my near future. :D

I swapped out the electronics in my Junk Box Mutt.

I wanted the combination esc/receiver for another project and the motor was a poor performer.

I swapped in an old Futaba receiver that had seen better days, an $8 Hobbyking esc, and a pieced together motor. The motor has an old Speedworks can, P2K arm and endbell, and a MCI decal (set at 10°).

Also got the Junkyard Frog wired up.

I put a Horizon esc/receiver combo in, to go with the Team Brood motor and Hobbico servo.

Went with my son, brother, and good friend to the RC expo in Pomona, and the off road expo also at the fairgrounds. Awesome day. My brother bought a FrSky air transmitter. Real nice one. USB trainer plug came with it. It makes my MT-4 look like garbage.

I was going to say, that's a very dull paint scheme :P

Then again, might suit the RC10CC ;)
