Kyosho Pegasus - 13 year project
When I say 13 years, I mean I bought this 13 years ago, but only just decided to rebuild it. I sourced some bearings and used everything else that came with the car. The only thing that hasn’t gone back into it is the Lemans 480T, That has been cleaned up and is on display with some others.
How the car has looked since I got it, body was pretty rough but the chassis was in pretty good condition, even had an old 1200 NICAD still in there
My primary motivation for cracking into it was to try and strip the body with a product I found locally. As expected it was a dismal failure, with the lexan going all cloudy, so exterior paint it was
Battery and 480T
Onto the chassis and every screw removed and every component separated for cleaning, only real damage is the rear cage section, a few cracks here that arent really repairable as it has been attempted before with glue. There are some new parts available, just need to decide if I’m keen enough to spend $50 for 3 pieces of plastic…
Gearbox internals in very good condition. Although the plastic bushings wont be going back into it
One of the trailing arms has been replaced as 1 is grey and 1 is black
And corrected
While waiting for bearings to arrive, I decided to rebuild the main chassis and front end
More to follow….

My bearings arrived today so was able to complete the rebuild, I’m pretty satisfied with the finished car, dunno if its a keeper or one to move on, will sit it up for a bit and see how I feel about it
Test fitted the body before the rear end went back together
Gears all in good condition

Thanks for that, but like with everything currently, the shipping to Australia is over $50 making it too expensive. But thanks anyway, will still watch that
