I am amazed I got so close on the dimensions, the chassis is almost perfectly right right length but the flat sides are a bit longer that what I ended up with. This could be my error or it could be the designers that shrunk the design for the mini jrxt adjusted the original shape for their needs.
But can you tell what part the designer forgot to add on the chassis? :D

It's the chassis itself actually. The extension where the trans mounts to has 2 bump outs areas where the bulkhead sits on the original chassis but they aren't present on the Mini.

The mini chassis actually looks like the Composite Craft one, I kinda noticed this fairly recently.

Ahh I see, I guess my design was a little more studious

as for the sideguards I will work up some designs this weekend I think, going to grab a bottle of ca debonder tomorrow to work on ungluing 57s tires. The tires seem undersized to me...

I actually dug through my things to make the chassis more authentic. Going to scale this down and maybe get @GoMachV to cut me one.

finally got some time to do some measuring and modeling, I am actually surprised how close the chassis are together, I was only measuring the new chassis shown in red, I copied the model for my no cutout jrxt chassis and layed it over the rough model of the new chassis and width and length is almost spot on. Disregard the hard corners of the red chassis it has just been modeled dimensionally. I do think I could just copy over the already measured screw locations to it and be done... but I do kind of like my original shape better though. I have also half unglued one rear tire... destroying the foam lol
My measuring must have been up to snuff originally measuring my OG chassis. I also tested on my rc16 tinkering printing the chassis flat then heat setting the kickup over a mold, it is still floppy but at least the kickup looks better heh.

Working on a rough draft of some sideskirts, is a bit difficult with my pattern in this condition lol

I think they will be thicker than stock when I have them ready, printing them at .5mm and then scaling it down would be a pain. this is just a rough modeling, trying to get the angles worked out from the partially crushed lexan was challenging. Although if you have some flat sheets of lexan and some time to draw out the outline It should be really easy to come up with passable lexan side shields... but I like messing with the printers so there.

I was considering reworking my molded chassis models to fit with the mini jrxt chassis dimensions from losi but I am thinking it would be a fools errand at this point, I have gotten the basic wheelbase and other directions more or less close enough for government work, it just isnt the same shape as the new chassis which itself deviates so.. eh

I have some sort of hacked up ones on of my trucks, cut up the sides of mini JRX2 body for it. Contour is obviously off on these but hey, it's better than nothing and velcroing the back par to the shell when running it keeps the body from getting hung up while racing. Would def be cool to have better ones that don't require a sacrifice.

Also I think your models are probably better scaled than Losi's

It would be real easy to come up with a flat pattern to cut out of a sheet of lexan or even a plastic bubble from a disposable package and fold it into the correct shape. You could even just print it out on a normal printer and just temporarily glue it to the lexan with rubber cement or something.

How's this? First print in over 6 months.. wiped the bed down plugged the card in, pressed print.

https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/losi-mini-jrxt-chassis-skirts

it is a quick toss together, I would recommend printing on fine settings

I could probably beef them up somewhat and add some resistance to chassis flex, I noticed the chassis was somewhat flimsy.

I'm S L O W L Y making progress towards my Mini XX Worlds Prototype based on CLM's Pro SE/LXT chassis work and Mini B Wheels.

Too much going on in my life to really focus on it, though.

Looks awesome! I can't wait to see how this turns out :)

I can give you access directly to my working models on tinkercad if you want.. to see the horrors lol

One thing to be aware of with the molded chassis is that jrx2 bellcrank posts are technically too short. This is true in 10th scale as well, you either need to space the posts higher or make sure the ball studs are spaced so the sector bar is smooth on the bottom, I should model a spacer.

I have uploaded modified versions of my Junior T and LXT wheels sized for the tires from the Mini Jrxt, granted you will need to unglue tires from mini jrxt wheels to use them... I have left the 1.6 inch wheels for rc10 rear tires as well. I am trying to get some additional tires to make my jrxt 3 piece rims correct, I accidentally tore the one tire I was ungluing :(

mini JrT - https://cults3d.com/:775484
mini LXT - https://cults3d.com/:773606

also uploaded my wheel and shock nuts and adjusted the body posts on my redundant jrxt body mounts to fit the dimensions of the Losi ones so it lines up with the mini jrxt body.

Even though I dont have an undamaged tire to test them with I modified the files for the Jrxt rims and tossed them on cults for testing. Feel free to try them out and let me know what needs modified. I am going to work up some disks for the LXT wheels next and maybe a printable mold that could be used in vacuum forming maybe.
