My vote went to Frankentruck. Mainly because I have a huge soft spot for the Hornet. Back in the mid 80's when I was 15yrs old, I saved up the $90 it cost to get one back then from cutting grass so I could buy it. That was my very first hobby grade rc

I wish my Hornet could do the jumps and flips that sweet monster truck can do. 😁

All kiddin' aside. I have such memories of the Hornet. I remember buying it and then building it. Then after I got it done I remember going to "Alcove hobbies" which was a shop on Woodward about 5 miles from my house and buying some blue anodized nerf bars for it, as well as some foam tires for it. Not that it needed foam street tires, back then a stock 540 motor and 6 cell pack couldn't spin the tires if they wanted too  But it was cool to have them. Cool to see a Hornet done up again....one of these days I need to buy one and restore.

It's the stories and memories that are most valuable on here really .

That's the weird thing about Tamiya stuff. You can just buy one, new, without having to spend months sourcing parts to make it work.

I was thinking of trying that out but it would get in the way of my current hobby of buying parts off ebay and immediately re-boxing it in a storage box and forgetting about it.
