Duke Concepts YZ10

Post by mikea96 »

Picked up this very nice duke concepts yz10. Just needs cleaning and I need to make a new right side steering arm as this one was broke and glued. Trying to decide on pink or white wheels as well.

pink wheels will make the iridium show better IMHO. white isn't bad but just lacks the contrast of the iridium. Can't wait to see this one's progress. 8)

Anyone who has seen iridium carbon in person knows pictures just don't do the material justice. I agree the pink would compliment the iridium much better.

Here is a few more photos before the tear down and cleanup. I have new pink wheels, new proline tires, new original protech body and undertray and some black delrin on the way to make a new right side steering arm.

Here is the Protech body and undertray and proline tires. I plan on painting a couple reproduction bodies first before painting this original.

I am a bit obsessed with this chassis! I love iridium. Such a cool looking kit.

My vote is for pink or black wheels.

I would love to have a few chassis's cut from this material. I bet it looks even better in person.

I know the chassis looks awesome and pictures don't do it justice. I'm going to order a sheet of it soon to make some parts for other cars.

Between the machined black delrin and the iridium carbon it’s got such a cool one off vibe going for it, love it !! :D

Ok I reinstalled the bulkheads and motor plate, then added the diffs, tcs unit and new belts. Just waiting for bulkhead caps and center cap paint to dry.
