Re: Turned 40 today...
Life begins at 40! For me that's 8 months away! I genuinely can't wait! Age is just a state of mind, and an excuse to throw caution to the wind and go nuts!!! Lol!
Do, or do not! There is no 'try'!
RC; Boats, Buggies, Trucks, Bash's, Racing and of course 'VINTAGE'!

Re: Turned 40 today...
You know, for some reason, 30 bothered me a lot more than 40 did. Maybe it's because I'm in better shape, physically, financially, and mentally, than I was at 30. Back then I was single, deep in debt, smoking, eating junk food, and living in a crummy little apartment. Now I have a nice house, a lovely wife, my credit score is nice and high, and my cholesterol is nice and low. I also have this feeling of self-confidence that I didn't used to have; I don't feel the need to explain myself anymore. I feel like my opinions have a weight behind them that comes from experience. Gray hair, couple of aches and pains, who cares? Life is good.
I am wondering, however, what the minimum age cutoff is for those "Old Guys Rule" T-shirts...

1 year, 8 months to go. I'm healthy, I don't drink excessive and never smoked. Still ride my dirtbike and occasionally do silly things. A cousin of mine died at 42 last November of heart disease but he drank heavily since his teen years. I plan on living to 90!! Besides, I want to see the 50th anniversary of the re-re of the RC10.

Re: Turned 40 today...
Well, I turned 44 last month. And while I'm not old yet, it's painfully obvious that I'm not young anymore.
At work, one of the guys (5 or 6 years younger) was messing with some of us about getting old. I told him that I'd rather be old than be a Millennial. Then I told him that he'd be both in a few years.

Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.

Re: Turned 40 today...
That 5 year diff closes pretty quickly in percentage terms. It was 100 pct when you were 10, only a tad over 10 pct now and falling. He's catching you up fastjuicedcoupe wrote: ↑Tue Oct 04, 2022 6:08 pm Well, I turned 44 last month. And while I'm not old yet, it's painfully obvious that I'm not young anymore.

It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas

Re: Turned 40 today...
Funny how that happens! Invincible in your 20's, realizing you're not invincible in your 30's, start feeling the body not being as willing or forgiving as it used to be in your 40's. When the 50's creep on ya you start wondering what the heck you did in your younger years that has caused all these aches and pains, and you long for a full night's sleep and to be able to sleep in on weekends, but the aches and pains won't allow such frivolousness!juicedcoupe wrote: ↑Tue Oct 04, 2022 6:08 pm And while I'm not old yet, it's painfully obvious that I'm not young anymore.
Ask me how I know . . .
