Hi Steve, I scanned the ad, and have it available as a PDF if you prefer. You would need to message me your email address. I will upload it here as a jpg for others to see. I also grabbed the great article George Siposs wrote in the copyright 1972 Model Car Racing book.

My personal timeline says 1971 for the RC1 and 1972 for the RC2. This is what I found a couple of years ago.
I have seen an original 1972 Associated Electrics catalog with two or three pages for slot racing stuff and one page for 1/8 scale. At this catalog the RC2 was mentioned also as the basic kit.
I also recorded one comment where the first RC1 kits were sold at a 1971 race in St. Louis. Just don´t remember the source.

Another 1973 catalog showed the first Lexan bodies. I remember that exactly because I own a 1973 Ferrari 312P body.
I will go ahead and keep the years the way they are, which is indefinite. Thanks very much for your help!

These scans are good enough. Thanks! I looked at your MyGarage link. All the docs, 1-sheets, and manuals you posted were done by me!

Good to hear those will work for ya Steve! Hope that’s ok I have those docs hosted there- I’ve found over the years that one source or another will tend to dry up then we lose these documents forever :(

I still have a few folders containing more old stuff I did. Did you ever hear about the CDs we put out containing almost all the docs we created?

I think all the material went on about 3-5 CDs before I made a DVD version. We discontinued it about 3 years ago.

I am still updating the History site. It now lists 426 vehicles from 1970-2020! :D

See http://bit.ly/ateamapps, and click on "Team Associated Vehicle History."
