Ruffy Rios RC10LS replica

Post by ELF-BMX »

So this is my replica of ruffys rc10LS, its almost complete. At this moment I'm hoping you guys can help, no one on Facebook can confirm the wing mounts so maybe you guys can. I am also looking for this body and can not pin point the make.

There's a few things ruffy did to his car, he cut the top plates middle beam out, he carved out the rear chassis brace to accept the motor.

Sorry guys for some reason I cant get the pic or the original car to upload so hang tight.

Ok guys LTO was able to post a screenshot i sent him. Its a little fuzzy but this is ruffys actual car I replicated. The body has big vents on top of front fender. I hope this helps figuring out the body. The mounts are hard to see but they look like black ano and are like a cylinder wing mount with a thin hex base.

Thank you for the pic Jeremy.

Looks like the wing mounts are similar to these. Great looking car so far! Have you found the body for it? Not sure what type it is. Old Protoform or Associated?

Also just a heads up, mci decals 1/10 scale were a bit snaller then original so i had to buy 1/9th scale decals and they were much closer to original size.

I can't ID the wing mounts on Ruffy's car but the two types that GeneralZod posted were both from Bolink.

Ruffy's body looks like the same as the bodies Barry Baker and Ralph Burch had on their cars in this pic...which according to the race results were Associated Nissan bodies.

Thank phin on the body info, now i just have to find one 😉.
When i see ruffys mounts i cant help but think bolink, but i cant seem to find them but ruffy did machine alot of stuff on the rear end if you look close at the top plate and chassis brace so he could have machined the mounts too.
