RC10Talk - Celebrating 18 Years!

Post by Lowgear »

Today marks the 15th anniversary of RC10Talk. Image I just wanted to thank everyone for their continued support and contributions in preserving this wonderful hobby that is R/C. More specifically the "vintage" side of it.

Some changes will be taking place sometime within the next several months. I used to update the forums software regularly but had to stop. The reason being is after spending countless hours on the technical side of things, I finally got it to where everything was perfect, and running like a well-oiled machine. It took a plethora of modifications and immeasurable nuances to get it where it's at. The problem is it's been modified and configured to the point of not being able to update the software while having things stay exactly the same. After updating, everything has to be done all over again from scratch which will be a daunting task to say the least, so it won't be instantaneous. It will take time to get it configured back again to where we're comfortable. I'll let everyone know well in advance before it's set to happen.

Anyway, enough about that. Here's to 15 more years of preserving the past... For the future! 8)

Wow, congrats, I had been away from Hobby for a lot of years and discovered here in 2009. I have to say I miss the activity and community that was here back then. Lot's of trading, detailed build threads and helpful environment. FB is just not the same to me. Seems more of a look at what I have you don't place over there. When I need real info I still find searching the archives here way more useful. But I digress, hope this place is around forever and this format one day comes back to its glory.

Hear, hear!

- I am always glad to know there are other 'normal' adults who spend an inordinate amount of time thinking about/building/running vintage R/C cars.

Thanks RC10Talk !!

Here's to another 15! This time, I'll try not to take a decade-long hiatus.
