I wondered why I hadn’t seen that yet. But then I noticed it was a different magazine then RCCA. I don’t know why but I never knew there were so many different RC magazines growing up. My mother got me a subscription to RCCA and I though that’s all there was until I joined this forum.

I had a chance to get ahold of one of those chassis conversions. But I thought the price was a little high for what it was.

Back on track.....RJ.....lol.

So not all of the decals are correct. Some are ineligible in the article and I just don’t have the correct size or color for all of them yet. So I filled it out the best I could and I’m really happy with the way it’s coming along. The chassis is nearly complete, just a waiting game until I stumble on some Airtronics 94151 servos.

Anyways. Here’s some pictures of the current progression so far.

Felt like changing out and adding a couple more decals to the “inspiration truck”. Didn’t want to waste too many as to keep some for upcoming builds. Anyways here’s a couple pictures side by side and one with a special visitor.

Replaced the pink RCPS decals for yellow ones, and heard back from Curtis Husting. Whenever I think to how I just stumbled on this truck its remarkable. And long overdue good luck for me.

“Hi Todd,
This looks like a truck that I may have made for Associated many years ago. I couldn't tell you what team driver raced is but is could have been Brian Kinwald's. I built/modified the engine. I know my writing on the head.
It's a cool piece of history you have.
Curtis Husting“

Just pulled the rear shock tower off this truck. Here’s a closer look at the custom tower Curtis Husting made for the team drivers trucks. I’ll be copying this in carbon fiber for my other Dudgeon to clear the narrow team body. Which is my guess why he made these in the first place
