Listed our house Sunday, showed it to 4 people and one made an offer over asking. We could have probably held out for more but we accepted. Looks like right around New Years we will be signing both the buying and the selling papers and getting outta here

Congrats on the move. Only from what I’ve heard, sounds like a wise choice getting out of there.

It’s the right move for me. The wife is a little more ok with Portland but she is starting to understand my issues with it. Her work went works from home after a couple of employees were assaulted on their way into work. Not a COVID thing. The building is closed until at least July ‘21 and no workers allowed inside. I fear for her safety in downtown Portland. Funny enough when we were in Idaho the realtor said that most of the people there see our issues and think it has to be fake cause it is so “Jerry springer-ish”. Nope, it’s real.

Congrats on the move Jeff, super stoked for you 8) Always difficult to make a move and uproot yourselves but it sounds like it is the right choice and right time.

Living in the Midwest we only see what is going on in Portland through the lenses that are given to us, but it definitely sounds like areas are increasingly becoming unsafe. Having to fear for your safety simply commuting to work, and your wife's workplace having to shut down because of said violence is unacceptable. Good on you guys for taking the bull by the horns and making the decision!

Safe travels, and keep us updated!

Waaaay over here, I haven't heard anything about Oregon. That's very upsetting in many ways. I hope your move goes well and smooth. But, my biggest question is: when can we see a new, sweet hobby room? :D

Hobby room will take a little while but I have lots of options and lots more room. My first step is to epoxy the floor and get the wiring and insulation in the walls in the garage. Once the garage is done I will work on the hobby room. I have some ideas
