I submit, for your consideration, my entry for the November 2020 Body Of The Month.
Option 1C.jpg
Option 2.jpg
Car: Tamiya Renault Alpine A110
Chassis: Tamiya M02 Rear Wheel Drive
Body: Box-art replica of car 28 from the 1971 Monte Carlo Rally

I almost never do box art..... but for this beauty, I just had to.

The decals were murder..... but I think it came out all right!

I haven't decided whether to set it for onroad or offroad, so it currently has rally blocks on 5-spoke wheels on the left, and road radials on 8-spoke wheels on the right!

Hope you like it... I certainly do!

Place holder, apols if im premature putting pics up.
A rescued Hirobo Rock’n City 44b chassis from an ebay purchase from Cublize in France, stripped down, repaired and overhauled. The missing body shell replaced by a ‘generic’ off the shelf body. Electrics updated although the servo/resistor based speed control was mostly in place replaced 2.4ghz kit, generic esc and steering servo. Flysky FS-A3 receiver. The Mabuchi motor, maybe original “S” type as per the manual but red end bell may indicate it may be different ie vintage tamiya rs540sd black motor sprint .
New tyres from an Australian ebay seller were the most expensive single item apart from the rolling chassis.
It ain’t perfect but I like it. Ya gotta leave some patina on an old jalopy.
I’ve got to tidy up and improve the magnetic body shell mounts sometime.
One for Dadio as he wants some lower quality entries ?!

Ladies and gentlemen, I have your clear cut looser for the month. A semi-modern Traxxas, or anti-RC10. But seeing that this particular one is from the late 90's, its actually older than some of the RC10's around here.

I acquired this truck in 2005 from a friend, after it (and his house) were flooded in hurricane Katrina. I was in a RC break at the time, so it sat in the closet for several years. After getting my son a new Stampede, I got the urge to get it back going. So one thing led to several others here we go.

Late 90's Stampede. Originally had a msc and Stinger motor, along with a hideous hard plastic Dodge truck body. All black chassis instead of the newer black and grey scheme.

Front: Pro-Line ProTrack wide control arms with Pro-2 caster blocks, steering blocks, and hinge pins. Upgrade allowed for use of larger bearings. Lowered shocks.

Rear: Stock arms with Nitro Rustler carriers. Upgrade allowed for use of larger bearings. Lowered shocks.

M4 turnbuckles and Revo rod ends throughout.

Transmission got a basic rebuild and bearing upgrade along eliminating the rulon peg slipper clutch. Switched to 32P gears for bashing and added a RPM gear cover to help keep grass and gravel out of the gearing.

2.2 front offset wheels all around with wide Traxxas Chevron pattern tires.

The body is actually from Arrma, mounted with universal posts. Decals are mostly Arrma and Traxxas. The huge front bumper is from RPM, made for a Slash.

Since it was submerged in salt water, most of the electronics were trashed (the receiver still works). The current electronics consists of a new Traxxas receiver and waterproof XL-5 esc, along with a Dynamite 15T 550 motor and EMaxx ES3005 servo. A JR XR2I handles the controls.

He won earlier this year, so he retracted his entry.
