My first vintage restoration.
Purchased this car from eBay, after a good clean I added in new wheels and tires, bearing kit, stainless screws, body, decals, etc.

Here is my original Stadium Blitzer.

Basics:
Original 90's Tamiya Stadium Blitzer, rebuilt with new Blitzer Beetle diff/gear set, control arms, bumper, battery strap, esc tray, and tires. It has a Team Blue Groove body and Ebay sourced decals. It is painted in Duratrax bright white, with metallic black and silver streak accents.

Mods:
Tamiya DF-02 CVD's and DT-02 turnbuckles, sourced from Japan. Tamiya black HD servo saver, Am-Pro upper and lower chassis braces, and a GM-Racing steel pinion. TRB bearings throughout. The steering blocks are also swapped side to side.

Electronics:
Given the connection between Tamiya and Futaba, choice of electronics was a no-brainer. I chose a MC-112B esc because it mounted in the original slot for the msc servo, and I actually found a like-new case for the one I had. A R152JE receiver is paired up with a T2PH Magnum Sport transmitter.

I was going to put on of my old S 148 servos in but decided otherwise. Seeing that you can't see face of the servo, I used a nearly new Traxxas 2055, which looks like a Futaba except for the sticker. It also has plenty of torque for a light stadium truck.

For the motor, I chose a Kyosho 34° Super Stock (the sacrilege, right). Nice vintage Tamiya motors just demand too much money for a runner and the Kyosho motor is a good match for the esc and the gear ratio of a Blitzer.

I had a plan to use Associated sale items and affordable parts to build a midmotor with B1, B4, and B6 parts.
The laydown B6.2 trans in this build and a couple other B6.2 transmissions were picked up very cheap on Ebay.

I really liked the results and it spurred me into action on a second build that is yet to be completed.

A build thread is here https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=44231 if you like.

Here's my original restored Schumacher C Car, kitted out in similar spec to Andy Dobson's 1986 World champs car.... Futaba 132H servo, R102H 27mhz micro receiver, CS electronic Rocket 6 speed controller & Kyosho based Trinity Monster Horsepower 1985 mod motor. Body is a repro Associated TOJ, I still need to find a 1/12 driver figure so if anyone can point me in the right direction....
