Judging by your initial pictures, the car looks miles better already. Great job so far! :D

While in the service, in line for chow one morning, I heard the DS say to a private, "Goddang son, you polish those with a brick? I can just hear those boots crying out: kiwi, kiwi!"

Those were the days, and I'm glad it turned out for you.
Hope you're doin' something fun.

Thank you all for the comments and suggestions, much appreciated!

Taking into consideration some of the suggestions, I changed the shocks around today- again. Went back to the correct springs, added a spacer to the bottom mount and moved the top back to the front of the tower. I do need to find a different spacer as the one on there is just a bit too thick, and so clearance around the wheels is minimal. Other than that the suspension seems fine, it doesn't bind and I can bottom out the chassis before the shocks are fully compressed. I'm not messing with it any more.

I have just a few more bits to find, then sort out electronics, and then mount the Andy's body that's on the way :D

An interesting note about the rear tires, those are Pro-Line Square Fuzzies that I kept around since the time I was racing this car in the 90's. The wear to the inside half is substantial, most likely due to the excessive camber of the trailing arms. They look right at home, wouldn't you say?

Once the temps here drop to where it's actually tolerable to be outside(only 112 today), I'm going to find somewhere to give it a test run. I'm kinda excited!

Great story, but did the DS really say "Goddang"? They're never that polite in the movies!

It was Kiwi polish that I used and I am happy with how it turned out.

Thanks, and no worries about the instructions, I have a pic of the Houge instructions that someone posted in another thread, it has the Photobucket banner across it but still readable.
