I agree -- super clean and tidy. Very nice work Nomad.
Also, it pays to use a good quality soldering iron. Just curious, what wattage setting are you using for soldering the bullet connectors for instance?

Fantastic build. This is my all-time favorite aftermarket RC10 chassis.

Thanks guys, I strive to do the best quality work that I can. :)

I have a vintage (20+ yrs old) Ungar 50 watt iron, old school, 2 wire red handle. I have a couple of heating elements for it. Mostly, I use the iron clad 1/4" chisel tip. I have a bigger tip and a smaller one and a 35watt heating element that I use for small wiring. I use a power controller made by Goot, a Japanese company, that I got in the same era at a Japanese hardware store while in country. It can control the iron at 50 - 100 percent heat setting. I'll take a picture tomorrow of it.
For the bullets, I set it at 70 percent and it's quick to make the joint. I also use a very good paste soldering flux by the same company, Goot. It's for electronics and is a milky clear stuff, not the brown color of say, Dutch Boy brand general purpose flux for copper pipes and such.

I really dig the A&L/Facory Works trailing arm chassis. I have a few of them, 5 to tell the truth, including the newer C2.1.

Hey Nomad, did you drill the chassis yet? I have a set of 180* Delrin bellcranks that i just cut out, I’ll send you a pair if you want to try them since you already have the posts, rack and bearings. Just let me know.

Hey Jeff, I'd love to try them! Even though I already drilled the chassis I plan to get another C2 kit from you next week.

Just found this Ebay store.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-FUTABA-FP-S132H-MINI-1-12-SCALE-SERVO-IN-GREAT-SHAPE-WORKS-GREAT/163332121865?hash=item26075a6509:g:PCMAAOSwclVbz-Bx
If you were looking for vintage Futaba servo. He has a couple other Futabas as well.
Same as I have on my Delta pan car, definitely period correct.

I like the custom silver round accents on the motor mount and matching trans bearing cap. Very creative and stylish. Great job on the build!

Next hard to find was a gold nose plate. Luckily, aip47-2008 (Aaron) fixed me up with a NOS one. I struggled to get get a set of front arms, finally making a trade with scr8p (Jason). These guys, not to forget GoMachV (Jeff) helping me with the custom 6 tranny brace.

Some features of mention...

Factory Works C2 kit, black chassis plate, drilled for 6-Gear transmission only.
Lots of custom machined (by me) aluminum alloy parts.
Worlds re-release shocks and front shock tower (will replace with a Factory Works).
Custom rear motor guard (modified Factory Works part).
1/4" rear axles with dogbones.
Avid ball bearings, front to rear.
Factory Works ball bearing steering kit.
Lots of Factory Works load spreading washers. Really dig these washers!
Savox 1251MG servo with Racer's Edge alum. horn (blue ano stripped off). OEM servo wire replaced with black TQ Wire.
Reedy Sonic M3 17.5 brushless motor.

Did I say I'm a big fan of Factory Works stuff? No? Well I am :D
