Modern springs for vintage silver top load shocks

Does anyone know what modern springs are available that will suit the silver top load shocks? Will the current Schumacher standard bore springs work? Looking for a compatible tuning set that's easily available. Thanks

I use Associated spring sets 1581 and 1582. The range is a bit on the soft side, but have a look at the rates and see if they might work for you.

How compatible are the parts from the original bottom load shocks with the black cap top loading shocks?

Can I use the earlier gold caps from the bottom loaders on the top loaders?

Will they work work with the black o'rings from the black caps?...

Great. Thanks for the super quick response. I'm working on this now and was holding off form committing to one or the other.

I am surprised though that the caps are considered completely interchangeable, since the black o'ring is not captured by...

I have never rebuilt any of the earlier bottom load shocks so I was wondering if the same shock rebuild kit for the later lop load shocks will work with them.

Ok i have been looking for .71 Bottom Load shocks forever. I found a new set on ebay awhile back, They were listed as new shocks with no size on the pack, they ended up being .71 bottom load.

My next step to finish my sprint car projects is to look...

I would like to know what set of springs I can use on the TRX1 / Eagle LS shocks ?
Original spring set seems to be hard to find, or uncomplete.
Does Associated sets fits well ?

What's the good solution for rear and front ?

Great answer, very clear.
I think it is a good shock solution for racing back my eagle LS.
My actual shocks are eeven not teflon coated. Just a question of budget at the moment. Racing will be for summer 2014, and I still need some extra parts....

OK, I'm wanting to build a gold pan and use short shocks all the way around (among other things I want to change)...I know I'll have to play havoc with springs and such, and I'm planning on making my own rear tower to facilitate it. I don't want to...

Hey all. I am looking for some black or white colored springs in 2 & 2.5 lengths that will fit Losi XX/XXX series shocks.

What other brands/models springs may be a good fit?

They are a little bit larger than regular Associated springs, right?

If so, Traxxas Ultra shock (common plastic ones) springs should be close, maybe a touch larger. They are available in several colors as well as aftermarket options.

Older Losi springs, the larger size Tamiya CVA's, and maybe ECX (slightly larger than AE).

Alternatively, you could use a spring collar and different cups, allowing you to use larger springs.
