bosscat questions

Post by PerKr »

Won a bosscat cf chassis on ebay sweden. Figured the price was too good not to give it a shot and figured it would be a nice project. I know some parts for the bosscat were also used for the cougar 2 and club 10. Was anything shared with earlier or later CAT generations?

another question:

where's the best place to look for parts? I've been looking for cougar parts on ebay uk but nobody seems to ship outside the uk, so slightly frustrating... some parts are available from a store here in sweden, but they are rather pricey. I know wheels are available from JC racing products, but other than that?

Best way to know what was shared with earlier Cats is to check the part numbers in the manual... generally the lower the part number, the earlier the release. Most 3-digit (Uxxx) part numbers were pre-Bosscat spec. Could also compare manuals for specific part numbers as well, but the number way works as a general trick.

eBay works for parts, or you could put up some pictures of your cars, get involved in discussions, insult the mods for the hair on their knuckles/backs/underwear, then when your post count matches the set limit, get yourself BST access and put up a Wanted thread... once you do that, there's a bunch of guys here who would be glad to help.

I find that if you contact the sellers on Ebay UK and ask them to open up the listing to Europe, explaining that you are prepared for any increase in postage costs, they generally do so.
