Edit / remove posts?

Post by sneako43 »

How can I remove posts that I have commented on that I no longer wish to be updated on? "View Your Posts" - how do I unsubscribe from getting updates?

Thanks

At the bottom of the email you received for the thread in question, there's an unsubscribe link.

Thanks but I guess I wasn't clear enough.

I'm talking about seeing updates for every topic I post something on.

You can manage subscriptions in your User Control Panel, in the orange nav bar at the top.

http://www.rc10talk.com/ucp.php

Click that, then click the "Manage Subscriptions" link. The subscribed threads are the ones you're getting updates on.

There's also this option in your Control Panel that does it all:

Thanks again but not what I meant. Sorry for the confusion / lack of detail.

Upper right "View your posts" - I have 4 pages of topics that at one time or another I have posted to. I like to keep things uncluttered - I know it's a bit neurotic - so how I can stop seeing these posts in my "View your posts" everytime something new is added to the "My New 10T with Purple hardware" topic.

I am only subscribed to a few threads/topics - I am not talking about "bookmarks" or "subscriptions".

Again, sorry if the advice that has been given has not been properly followed by me to help with my request.

Ah I see now. The closest thing that I found that SHOULD have done the trick are the options in the pic below, but they don't appear to work.

EDIT: Ignore my post, that comment seems to work for the View New Posts function.

i can honestly say that in 5 years of being on this site, i have never....... ever clicked on "view your posts".

so i have to ask, why do you need too? seems to me that if you don't want to see 4 pages of your old posts, don't click on that.

the only way i'd think you could eliminate that would be to actually delete all of your posts, and never post again.

 Well I use it as a quick reference for the threads I'm currently active in. Then I click on new posts and carry on.

i've never clicked on "view new posts" either.

hell, the only reason i've ever clicked on "view active topics" is because people brought it to our attention that it wasn't working.

Pretty much for the same reason MINDWARP gave. Or in this case, to see if a question has been answered (or not).
