You should ask yourself...Why did I buy this? If it was an investment then put it in a bank vault and forget you have it.Maybe someday, and I mean maybe, you'll get your money back. If not, build it! Otherwise, it's pretty pointless to own it, isn't it?

Re: Turbo Optima Mid Special
I have an opinion I'd like to share.
I've often wondered much the same, build or store away?
Forgive the notion of madness but I say build it! What price can you put on opening up the blisters and bags yourself, taking in all the wonderful aromas of fresh new parts and enjoying a premium build comprised of new parts from a genuine factory original kit which you tracked down and payed for? Some will say no, you could make a profit some day but even if you did square away or even make a few dollars, you would have missed the opportunity to enjoy this kit in exactly the way it was designed to be used.
For me the money would come and it would go. Building a kit like this would be a memory that will last your life time.

One might simply ask, "Are you a hobbyist or a profiteer?"

Re: Turbo Optima Mid Special
I've always had a soft spot for the sleek lines of the Custom Special. After 3 attempts I finaly managed to keep a hold of the 3rd example of one of these cars. This time I built it and drove it at the track.
I hope this might lend a little extra inspiration to build yours
