Gotta be starting something...... (JRX-2)
So, to start with, we have one nearly new JRX-2 chassis......

And just when I wasn't expecting them to arrive, they turned up! The quality is excellent, and in 3mm CF they are exceptionally stiff, so I'm Very happy indeed. Add to that, they look very nice too...

If Todd ends up doing the original JRX-2 chassis, it'll be worth every single dollar!

Made a little more progress this evening....
Check out the tyre clearance using the XXX BK offset axles and two shock spacers.

Thanks!

IIRC they are some older Proline XX wheels that I dyed black.

Re: Gotta be starting something...... (JRX-2)
Thank you for the positive feedback.
I've decided to make a few changes in that the wild red steering arms and the antenna mount will be replaced by black versions although the red springs might stay. I have the later style battery cup which needs fitting and then maybe some electrics but I'm really not sure which way to go. Novak maybe???
It's also getting close to that time where I'm going to need to get a repro body for it and paint it up.......my least favourite bit.......and always has been......
Since this isn't going to be runner, I might replace the Hydra-Drive unit that's currently fitted to it and replace the extended top shaft with the standard primary gear shaft so that I can use the non-Hydra RPM gear cover that I've got.
I also need to fit the front camber and steering links to stop the front wheels from being all floppy!

Re: Gotta be starting something...... (JRX-2)
Very sharp, I've built a lot of custom X2's. My favorite was the modern racer I built that ended up with someone else here eventually and he won't sell it back to me
. Early Losi is fun to swap together a lot of different configurations. Nice build you have going.
I dug up the old thread, may be something useful in it for you or not. I did get this car on track a couple times before I got rid of it just in some practice sessions. It was pretty solid and with a little more tuning it could have been World Champion.

X2. I'd love to find a source for rere vintage painted bodies at a reasonable cost. I'd probably end up spending an unreasonable amount of money with said source.
