Ten4 Parts Available!
After 9 months of R&D, countless hours of design, printing, testing, and too many prototype parts to count, the Ten4 4WD conversion kit components are finally available! For the full story on the development of the Ten4 see the thread here http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=37839
Please NOTE: The Extended Shafts are no longer available. I am going to see if RR will manufacture more. If they will not, I will see about offering stock idlers that are pinned to extended shafts. I will keep this thread updated as I find out more
Here are the parts available for the Ten4 (note: there are 3 steering options, see below):
https://www.shapeways.com/shops/cpd?section=Ten4+RC10+4WD+Conversion&s=0
Here are individual links to the parts:
Ten4 Front Transmission Case http://shpws.me/KaZl
Ten4 Caster Block Left http://shpws.me/Kb01
Ten4 Caster Block Right http://shpws.me/Kb03
Ten4 Steering Block Left http://shpws.me/Kb05
Ten4 Steering Block Right http://shpws.me/Kb06
Ten4 Front Tensioner Base http://shpws.me/Kb0d
Ten4 Front Tensioner Shaft http://shpws.me/KaZe
Ten4 Rear Bulkhead http://shpws.me/Kb0j
Bell Crank Nuts http://shpws.me/Kb0W
For the steering bell cranks, you have 3 options:
Option 1:
Ten4 Bell Cranks Left Input http://shpws.me/Kb0q
These use the stock servo mounting location, no modification to your chassis needed. The servo horn may rub slightly on the underside of the belt in this configuration, although in my track testing it does not seem to hurt anything. You can trim down the servo horn to minimize the rubbing.
Option 2:
Ten4 Bell Cranks Right Input http://shpws.me/Kb0y
This option keeps the servo mounted sideways to keep with the stock appearance, but it flips the servo over and moves the servo input to the right bell crank. This eliminates rubbing between the servo horn and the belt. However, you will need to drill new mounting holes in your chassis or mount the servo with servo tape.
Option 3:
Ten4 Bell Cranks Rear Input http://shpws.me/Kb0M
This option uses the servo mounted front to back rather than the stock sideways mounting. It moves the servo horn to the right and eliminates any potential rubbing between the belt and servo horn. However, you will need to drill new mounting holes in your chassis or mount the servo with servo tape. This option will also work with the short wheelbase option, more to come later on that...
I will be working on an instruction set for the Ten4, which will most likely be in PDF format, and possibly some youtube videos to go along with it.
Hardware kits and nose tubes will be available soon in this thread --> http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=103&t=38726

Re: Ten4 Parts Available!
Parts are ordered!!! Thanks again for your efforts.
Just curious if anyone had suggestions on how to tackle the small gap of space where the front of the body ends and the extended nose plate. Does anyone know of an extended body to compensate for the longer configuration? I'm sure I'm not the first to ask this, but I have not been successful in my search. Thanks in advance

Re: Ten4 Parts Available!
There is a person on Facebook (Morten) and I think he is on here too that is working on an extended body.

He is on here, he posted on the Ten4 thread that he was working on it, i can't remember his screen name though...
To me the gap doesn't look too bad. You could probably get a little creative in trimming the body and have it sit a little further forward than normal to reduce the gap.

Re: Ten4 Parts Available!
Just wondering - is there anyway that you could put all the parts needed together into a 'kit' so I can just click one item?
I really want to order but funds are scarce at the moment and I just can't justify it to the wife (Don't you have enough projects??)
