My good friend Helmut in Austria found this for me on Ebay Germany a while back. A very nice condition Pavidis edition YZ10. It has been run, but is in excellent overall condition. One of the best things is the original, new unpainted body and...

Nice find Chad! I know you are also a lover of the Yoke's. Well done!
Hello all! This is my first post. I just got a hold of a brand-spankin new, never touched the ground, YZ-10! It is the model that was released immediately following the 870 C. I believe that would make it 1988-1990 production. I purchased one of the...

From what I've seen, there are several types of 2.2 dish wheels. I've seen some with 2 mounting holes and some with 4. In addition, I believe there are different offsets.
So, the answer is yes, they are worth something if it...
The shop owner I worked for as a kid had one of these so when I got into collecting I knew I had to have one. I ended up buying this wreck off of ebay
It looks worse than it actually was. It was set up for carpet racing so the underside of...

hey jim, when you have a chance, could you measure the length of the front shock ... center of eyelet to eyelet? and also just the shock body from the center of the eyelet to the bottom. thanks.
When I bought my beloved BX a few weeks ago,it came with two bodies.
The body the previous owner was running was a Yokomo Factory Team body-I liked the shape, but hated the paint,so I ran with the other body it came with and threw the Team body in...

Hi everyone. Here is my latest addition to my collection.I think it a Pavidas but would be great if someone could confirm. It has one different battery holder. Also 3 screw wheel hubs insted of the normal 4 .The other thing I have noticed is Associated...
a friend of a friend has one in great shape . but are they any good? i heard they are a pita to keep running. also anyone know if they take wheels that are readily avaliable. i see they have a hex nut instead of that 4 scew hub system. thanks

The BX worlds car comes with Yoke hexes front & rear, but the fronts are a direct fit for Losi and you just bin the rear and fit a set of Losi axle roll pins for Losi wheels all round.
It seems the R/C gods have favoured me this past week and I have been fortunate to secure on a few deals which have made all the difference to me.
I have had my heart set on an early Dog Fighter for a while now but wasnt sure the original 870c was...

Thanks Varma. Would you believe Im lending this beauty out to a friend to race in the St Ives vintage race meeting on the 14th of Feb?? LOL.
I decided to take some pictures of my current projects. I got this car about 10 years ago and decided recently to finally restore it. I honestly think that these cars (with the correct upgrades) can still be very competetive today.
It...

they are 3mm (4/40) and 50mm long for the rear to ajust the camber i'm loocking to find the same as yours with holes in it cuz thats what i have in front that are on the car from early 90 when i was riding the car you say they are tecnacrafts?
I just replaced my much lamented XX-4 with an MR4-BX.
I was going to go B44,but the BX came up at a really good price so I went for it.I never even looked at what 4 wheelers Yokomo offered.
I saw the car that the MR4-BX replaced-BC?-And really...

Looks good, that's a neat brushless install in a chassis that's difficult to keep tidy. Can you access the motor pinion? I had difficulty changing pinion with my brushed ESC there.
Untidy wiring is one of my sore points,I try to really plot it...
I put this here because I suspect these may be for a yokomo, but I really have no Idea. I got them in with a bunch of RPM parts a couple years ago and have not been able to put a positive ID on them. Anybody know?
Last post
I want to say they fit a Custom Works Dominator, but I'm not that sure. They certainly don't fit any Yokomo though...
I agree. RPM wasn't around back when Yokomos ran chains. Those sprockets look to be way too large to be Yokomo sprokets too.
I grabbed it yesterday. (not from ebay) and, it's on the way to me now.
it was collecting dust in the original owner's cellar for long time. he never got a chance to run this. even still had new wheels and tires

Good score!
I got a new but 1/2 built YZ10 and a clean used 870C the other day for $100.00 CDN and I thought that was a good score as well.
It's funny but it seems you can find a good whole car for the price of what some people are asking for a...
Well, this is my fully modified runner. well, not 'soooo' modified :D What I did was to retain the original suspension concept with minor modification of the geometry (unlike a conversion of 2 shocks to 3 shocks like the RPS, or 4 shocks, etc..)....

i was wondering if it avalable some mip cvd for the 89 yz10? and is there a replacement belt for the front and the rear that still avalable
thanks frank
Last post
the only MIP CVDs I've seen are for the '94 and up. You could make something up if you find the right combination of axle and bone ... time consuming for sure. The front belt is out of production, but does show up now and then. The rear belt is...
I have a set of these adapters I would like to use on a Hot Trick Fox conversion....anyone have experience with these and what Yokos work best? I'm looking for something bright/neon and shiny!!!
well this is my second one i bought. looks like a 94 yoke to me. i have seen some with fiberglass but this has graphite towers and brace. no battery hold downs with it though

As I'm waiting for my 834 to arrive I started to think about the durability of this car. It looks pretty tough but there is always something that can break on a runner. So my question is this, what is the biggest issue/problem with these cars? What...

When I raced my RPS SE car back in 1986-88 I went through more chains and drive sprockets than anything else. Broke a couple of front arms. The rear arm flexing problem wasn't too bad as long as I had the tie straps adjusted correctly. Only lost a...
Hi all, I recently rebuilt the diffs of the 870C I am restoring.
The front one is smooth like new, but unfortunately the rear is quite gritty, due to wear of the ring plates.
I already chose the less worn sides to be mated with the balls, but the...

Use some really fine wet n dry sandpaper (1000 grit is good) and place it on top of a piece of glass (glass tables tops are great for this). Choose the diff ring side which is the least worn and work on it. Use some light oil and start lapping in a...
Hi everybody!!

Here's one for some of you guys with some better than average Yoke knowledge. I have been rebuilding my Yoke diffs and counted 35 teeth on each pulley. The pulleys are identical with a guard which glues to the side to keep the belt on. Its on my 91...

I've been playing around with different pulleys: of the trf, TA05, ABC, HPI,... but didn't find anything that 100% works: because of the thickness being off with different balls etc.
I do have front bulkheads in 2 parts which I could space for it...
First timer. Dose anybody know where to get some 2.2 rims that will fit my Yokomo with the square type hubs?
Last post
Hi all!!
I am looking for 2.2 rims to be mounted on a 870C, with the square hub, both rear and front.
Front rims shall be thinner so to accept current front 4wd tires.
Since I have several width hubs the rims offset is not an issue, anyway I would...
Hi all, does anyone know what is the diameter of the YR4 diff balls? :?: I would say 3mm, but I'm not sure.. And I don't have any to measure here with me.

Hi guys, can anyone tell me a litte more on the white 870C arms from yokomo?

I think Dual is correct. The car looks just like the 94 yz10, just tricked out with carbon etc. Unless it was a TEAM type version direct from Yokomo. I'm just saying this because the gentleman that gave me the car has strong connections in Asia, and...
Hi. New to the forum. Just dug out my YZ-10 and thinking about getting it rolling again.

I aleady use the clamp type hexes as they reduce wheel wobble a lot compared to older style standard hexes
I gave my first one to my friend around 10 years ago. 'cause I lost my interest in 870C after I got a MX-4.
and, it was annoying to making new shock struts that were really weak. maybe my bad habit on the jumps.

would the b4 front shocks be too long for the front of a yz10?

Anybody know if any of the Losi shocks would be a good fit for the 870/YZ-10? Front and Rear. Those stock Yoke shocks are the one part of the car that I really dislike!
