Re: Mounting steering servo

A trick I use is to first put a layer of electrical tape, then apply the double sided, makes removal a lot less daunting, and doesnt harm the grip . Worke even better on receivers ! Just an FYI 8)

Re: Gene Husting's RC Museum

I actually acquired Gene's RC12i from Curtis last year. It was not his personal race car but his promotional/marketing car. It is on display at Hobby Action Raceway in Chandler, AZ.

Re: Losi JRX Pro SE Resurrection / Rebuild

The A-3081 is the buggy dogbone. There is a manual for the XX retrofit transmission at Vintage Losi here: http://www.vintagelosi.com/Instructions_files/RetrofitXX.pdf.

Re: Back when $#!+ was real....

I love those old stadium truck videos. spent many an hour watching TNN world of motorsports I must say those super stadium trucks are pretty awesome, surprised they aren't banned for being "unsafe" in this day and age. This is probably the wildest end to any race that I've seen. xGNrlaeFF2U

Re: Chain Guides

If you decide on the chassis from Factory Works, let me know as I can save you the ebay fees and ship direct to you.

to your actual question, I would not worry to much about mounting it to your tub. Modern speed controls do not require nearly the cooling that those of yesterday did.

Re: RD-11 vs RD-22

RD-11 was the entire gear set, RD-22 was just a pair of idlers. Same idlers, just packaged differently. The seller has parted a set to sell them that way, and has thus just assigned his own part numbers. Neither are wrong, but RD-11 should be a whole set and RD-22 should be a pair of idlers.

Re: "Chew Toy" recommendations

RJ Speed Legends car?

Cheap, very basic, easy to work on, not much there to get damaged.

Re: "Chew Toy" recommendations

Is the Digger the old Bolink/RJ Speed? Do they handle pretty quickly? Yes. The only reason I mentioned the Legends and not the Digger was concern over the battery mounting position. I actually prefer the bottom load battery, with the large o rings. They are fun, fairly nimble little cars. Don't mis...

Re: "Chew Toy" recommendations

Maybe you should check out the WLToys 144001. It's a bit smaller of a buggy at 1:14 scale, but should be easily nimble enough to keep out of the dog's reach. I'm modding one here, if you want to follow the upgrade process. https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=114&t=45819 You can get these fo...

Traxxas slash with a children’s stuffed animal ziptied to the top will make that dog go ape shit.
