When you did the dye, did you boil the parts? I'd make sure to boil any of the remaining ones that aren't dyed too. Traxxas nylon seems to get brittle. I wouldn't use the white rod ends either. They seem to be the weakest

I have heard that associated shock caps can fit on traxxas and vice versa. yeah, i was always impressed how nicely my trx1 ran. are you running plastic yokes on that one?

B44 cvds require some shimming adjustments with the hub carrier, the rpm one or losi/cw. The b4 is few mm longer so you need b4 hub carriers and some shimming.

You want the higher power esc if you are running more than a 17.5.

I have the trackstar 17.5 combo which is really nice. You can get a 13.5 or 10.5 also which would be plenty fast.

They are usually ground in the hardened state.

Another option which I have done in the past is use brass tube with a 1/8" Id and make the od a light press fit and glue in place.

I have turned a set of b4 outdrives down to the smaller ring size. You have to turn the od down, and trim back the lip/flange so the 2.25 ring fits.
