Hello from Kentucky
Hi all, glad to be here. A friend at work recently gave me a few RC cars, one being an RC10 with graphite chassis. It is in pretty rough shape, but i'm gonna try to restore it as the RC10 was my first RC car, and has always held a special place in my heart. I started messing around with it about a w...

RC10 2.0" front wheel options for TQ70 tires
I recently got my hands on some TQ70 front tires, and am having a difficult time finding wheels for these as they are 2.0". The two sets of wheels i have for my RC10's are 2.1". I would really like to get some 3 piece wheels for these. Does these exist? I've come across a few 2.0" whe...

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - October 2021 ** - Winner - orangemazda
This is a car I scratch built from about 10 years ago. The frame is all magnesium. Rest of the parts are just a hodge podge of what i had laying around. Please don't judge solely on the steering linkage. That's just what happens when you start building before finishing the design. more pictures http...

My very own RC10 build/restoration
So, a buddy gave me this fine beauty a couple of weeks ago. He got it free at a garage sale. It's actually the reason I joined this board, so i figured I'd share the progress with you all. I haven't had an RC10 in my possession for about 25 years, but after receiving this, i remembered that building...

Custom touring car build
So, i just put this car in the build of the month contest, and figured I'd make this thread to cheat my way into some more pictures  Actually, I found some older pictures that i took when i first completed it, and it looks much better all shiny and new. Couldn't locate these before the contest...

Re: My very own RC10 build/restoration
Looks like there is an RC10GT off to the right of the RC10..... which you say was included in your haul. Yes, SIr. I actually cleaned that one up before getting into this graphite build. It cleaned up real nice. I was planning on making a thread in the B/S/T forum once I was allowed, but I guess cl...

Re: My very own RC10 build/restoration
Made a little progress on this. Found out the transmission is basically garbage. Was looking into replacing it with a stealth, but since the chassis isn't cut for one, i decided to leave it original and rebuild the 6 gear. Haven't really done anything on the rebuild yet aside from ordering a new cas...

Here's a link. https://grabcad.com/library/team-associated-rc10-ce-buggy-gold-pan-with-stealth-transmission-1 I had to make some models of the shocks and front wheels for some projects I'm working on, and was als...

Re: 3D CAD model of RC10 in SolidWorks
That looks awesome! I noticed that you've even captured the felt gasket between the motor plate and the trans. Very nice work! I had a copy of SolidWorks many years ago and I really enjoyed using it. That was several laptops ago and I'm sure it has gotten lost at some point. Anyway, I really enjoy ...

Re: Part #: 6579 (Associated Diff Drive Rings) : This item has been discontinued
I was looking into hardness a little more since my previous post. I don't think the B70 is going to cut it, even though those washers are pretty much identical dimension wise. Here's another option with C44 hardness. They are a little thinner, but these might actually do the trick. I'm no expert on ...

Re: RC10GT find and cleanup
Thanks for all the information, Lobo. I'm still not sure if I'll ever do anything with this truck, but this is most helpful should I decide to.
