Not mine, but my design and parts. Finished by another
I won't vote for anything that isn't outfitted with electronics. But that's just me.

Re: Sad Panda

Sad Panda has gotten quite a bit happier Complete tear down and thorough cleaning. New old stock body , decals, driver's seat/compartment, shocks and wheels. Panda branded receiver and Futaba servo and 210 ESC. Front tires are a fairly good match to the originals and the rears are Hornet tires. Hard...

The I.D race of the aluminum shock collar on the shock body is 16mm. The I.D. of the spring itself is...

Truing tires is a messy process, the foam dust gets everywhere. More time is spent cleaning it up then the actual process.

Bye bye old decrepit donut.....

Re: Bandit performance potential

Thanks all. I think RCveteran pretty much nailed my mindset on this. I'm not a fan of modern Traxxas and how they market nor their lawsuit-happy ways, but the Bandit/Stampede/Rustler came from a time before all that. They just kept making them. Their durability, plentiful cheap parts and old school ...

Re: Another ebay rescue

Front shocks look to be Kyosho Sport shocks, but without the adjustable top spring mount - you turned the top collar, and it compressed the springs further away from that bump in the shock body.

Re: Another ebay rescue

The rear shocks look hard anodized. They can be very light silver. The coloring of them are all over the map. almost bright silver to dark grey to deep olive green.

Your ‘heap’ is looking amazing! Funny what parts we start to find lying around when we start these restorations/ not Restoration builds! Lol looking great, I really should get back to mine now!

Re: Thinking about dyno's for brushed motors

It just occurred to me that a side bonus of this setup is you can set the voltage real low and use it to break in new motor brushes until they're seated properly. 8)
