Re: ??? Hydrographics ???

Basher
It could be a little easier with a B6 type body.
It appears as though it may have fewer nooks and crannies.
The roof section is where mine was pulled the thinnest.
Can't wait to see your try at it!

Re: RC10 Factory Works C2 "Tuber" Build

Wow, Those welds are coming along very nice! They must have taken a lot of time, skill and patience. Just a thought, had you considered eliminating the tower? Maybe small gussets for the shock mounts? It would probably cause problems for the wing mounts though. Maybe shock alignment problems as well...

Re: RC10 Factory Works C2 "Tuber" Build

Nomad
I totally agree with Doug.
In a form follows function rule of thumb I feel they would be more ornamental.
Just my opinion.

Re: Factory Works C2 6-Gear Trailing Arm...

Really liking your build Nomad...
What I did on the JRX Pro was to cut the plug from a spare harness that came with a lipo battery I bought.
Not the prettiest install, but it allows either Nimh or Lipo to be run.

Re: Factory Works C2 6-Gear Trailing Arm...

Sure thing Nomad
I attached at the outboard capacitor. I really did not want to solder on the ESC if not necessary.
The cap was the easiest point to pick up battery voltage and can be easily changed back to OEM look.
3rd wire (for lipo) is tied back in case I wanted to change from Nimh.

Re: A '91 Stealth RC10 project

Well Doug it's been a great journey watching you build this awesome car. And oddly enough I just, a couple of weeks ago, was pondering if my old pactra paint bottles were still usable. Guess I'll give it a try with my old Paasche. I got a new wing for my original RC10 and could paint to match. BTW, ...

I probably would have my cereal out of it in the AM.
But a very nice display stand for an awesome build!

Re: Shock Type and Length Confusion

Hi blubblood From my limited experience... Eyelet to eyelet measurements can be roughly estimated. A .56 body with a .56 shaft should yield about 62mm eye to eye. A 1.18 body with a 1.02 shaft should yield about 90mm eye to eye. A 1.02 body with a 1.02 shaft should yield about 86mm eye to eye Overal...

Re: Green parts: not just for ball cups anymore

I set the right ball cup out in the Texas sun for 2 days, the left one stayed indoors.
We may have hope for at least the ball cups. They are on white printing paper.

Re: RC10 Cadillac A-Stamp Restore Attempt

Hi Bakauata

I have used a solution that others may not use.
End play is minimal and the shaft has a little more support.
