Re: Retr0brite?

Shoot, I completely mixed up ABS with nylon! I bet it won't work as well, as they specifically mention the fire retardant properties of ABS being responsible for the significant yellowing of those computer parts. I suppose it's still worth a shot on some junky parts.

Retr0brite?

Haven't been around in a while so I apologize if I missed this, (I did search and didn't find any evidence...) but has anyone read about or tried Retr0brite for whitening? http://blog.makezine.com/archive/2009/03/unyellow_old_plastics_retr0brite.html?CMP=OTC-0D6B48984890 http://retr0bright.wikispace...

Build a wooden frame to support and space the pegboard, but 'hang' the frame from the floor joists above.

Re: lexan chassis protector?

Cool ideas, guys. Thanks! I may try all three.

Doug, that tray does look cool painted to match! I figured lexan wouldn't take a 'fold' the way you might do on a brake, that it would become a stress point that would easily tear. Where'd you get the brake?

lexan chassis protector?

Hey gang, anyone ever make a chassis protector out of lexan sheet? I was thinking of using an old tub to form a "under tray". The idea would be to allow some parking lot bashing of one of my cars without adding new scratches. I'm skeptical of the chassis protection sheets you get at tower....

Re: vintage trans am race?

Bummer on the foot! You know you're gonna have to explain a bit more about that. These are LITTLE CARS! You're not supposed to break a foot when one runs your foot over!

It looks like it was a darn good time! I wish I could have made it. Da kids soccer got rained out afterall...

Re: 1:1 SPAM

All nice rides, guys. I particularly love the wheels on logikfive's pontiac. Scr8p, the 442 is very classy. Junkman, the '69 looks fantastic. I used to have a 4th gen, too. '97 LT1, M6, 17x11 SLP 5 spokes & SLP 2-on-da-left exhaust. It was a great car, but it had to go. I was too...

Re: 1:1 SPAM

Awsome. I LOVE the paint, can't wait to see it 'together'.

There are just too many fun hobbies, aren't there? My 1:1 project is a car my dad and I pulled together 15+ years ago.

Sorry, crappy photo...
