Re: Big Brute Replacement Tire Options?
Maybe some Tamiya Grasshopper wheel hubs with some Tamiya car crusher series (like the Beetle or lunch box) wheels & tires...? If this sounds like a feasible option, let me know and I will see if this will work with my models. The Double Dare, Hi-Rider Corvette and Big Boss are the same size to ...

Re: Big Brute Fix-Up
Spent the entire day running parts through the ultrasonic cleaner. Also bought a B-Block that I need pretty badly. Many of the parts are on the B-block. The more I work on it the nicer I want to make it. Hope the guy gets the bearings back in stock soon. Here are a few photos I took today. Tear Down...

Absolutely.
Caution though for Grasshoppers with the 1985 World Championship Trinity Monster Horsepower! These things spit rocks and donuts like none other. I chuckle every time I say Grasshopper, more so in this context.

Re: Big Brute Fix-Up
I am in the same boat with needing wheels and tires on my BB. Please keep me posted what route you go! Thanks A guy in Germany has a nice set of wheels, but he said the tires have cracks. The tires look really good, but I think he put armor all on them for the pic. He didn't respond to me, so I dou...

Re: Big Brute Fix-Up
I will update with some pics of the donor vehicle as soon as it arrives. This project has some additional information. When I bought BB-Brutus it came with a DD (Double Dare guys  ) but the DD has nothing more than the chassis really: Gear cases (no gears - $35 per set) suspension arms..just a ...

Re: Big Brute Fix-Up
Just scored a ton of parts for this project off Harry697! I was beginning to wonder if this was going to happen within reason.

Re: Big Brute Fix-Up
Thanks for the suggestion on tires. I will look at my Beetle, which appears to be the 2.2 you mentioned and see if something like that will work. Did some building on it today. That would cover a lot of the parts. My luck is that I need nothing on A, but I may have to spend $30 for these it appears....

Re: Big Brute Fix-Up
After looking at available parts for the past couple of days I doubt I will be able to find original tires. Does anyone know if tires are being made now that will mount onto the original rims?

Re: Big Brute Fix-Up
I might have a rr knuckle arm but it is sloppy.... i replaced them all 20 plus years ago as they kind of wore out.... some were worse than others. I can check to see how bad it is. The stock dogbones are total crap and will wear out sooner or later too. I have the originals and the plastic is beyon...

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
Thanks for moving and re-posting the pics. Tried to post directly but it was too big. King cab makes sense as I have never seen them before. I did get a Fox somewhere so maybe that is where E came from.

Re: Big Brute Fix-Up
I am interested and sent you a PM. I did a search on RCGroups -looking for parts- and found out where I got this model...there. :) My memory....where has it gone. It seems all of this cold weather has me locked-up inside the house and as a result I am taking on this project. I took some pics ...

Big Brute Fix-4/4 Pics
I have discovered that I almost have enough parts to complete another Big Brute that I bought a few years ago. My other Big Brute is in pretty good shape and I think I will keep it on the shelf. This fixer-upper is just sitting around, so I should try to do something with this one. The goal would be...

NiMh Battery Cells
I would like to build a battery pack and was wondering what are some quality AND a relatively inexpensive sources for sub c cells? I have found some Ultracell 3300mAh cells, but I have no idea about the quality. I absolutely want to avoid the cheap ones. I purchased some AA 2500mAh rechargeable batt...
