We started carpet oval racing last year. Loads of fun, but only because we have a ton of help. As was mentioned, the setup is incredibly detailed and necessary if you want to run with the fast guys.

There is a way to have the center fully locked, as that's what I ran this year. It's from the YR series touring car. So that gives you full time 4wd OR full one way action. The in between or adjustable is what you're looking for. Hopefully one of the more experienced Yoke guys can make a suggestion ...

It was odd to have a couple sets of tires that are near new but the foams have fallen apart.

I've tried the boiling water method and that didn't work.

Hey JK ... are you trying to cut through the super glued wheel-tire joint or just above it in the sidewall?

We all know the trick to remove old tires from wheels. BUT ... has anyone raced with the tires after a soak in acetone? Are they still usable? Will traction compound reverse the effects of acetone? Am I being too cheap? I ask because I have some modern race tires that are in great condition but the ...

gotcha covered on both, Kevin. I have a few nose brace tubes that should be OK for the wing tube. We can certainly give one a try!
