Re: Alex B's Yokomo WCS 93 build thread (February 2014 updat

Small Update 8) Thanks to Peakey I got an original rear camber plate ZD 30 for the old girl so apart from the steering parts, the chassis and hubs she is pretty much all original Yokomo parts. ZD 30 http://i888.photobucket.com/albums/ac87/superdez75/temporary_zpsjuysbuax.jpg Original Yokomo part has...

Re: Finally got myself an 870c

That car is to far gone to convert back to an 870c, if you need a chassis I think I have a works one lying around you'd have a very good example of a works Yokomo then.

Re: YZ-10 for dummies? - 93' WCS

Well, I've painstakingly taken the pulleys themselves apart, cleaned them and cleaned the diff halves. Luckily the outdrives are in great shape and don't show signs of wear. I've also ordered a front belt, 96T rear belt, steering bellcranks, 16mm yokomo Ti turnbuckles and front universals which sho...

Re: Making a wcs93-esque car from a '94

So many questions! Alex B where can I find the machined bullet style wing mounts in your pic? Are these like A&L ones? http://i888.photobucket.com/albums/ac87/superdez75/29042012200.jpg They came with a B3 I got from eBay so I don't know the manufacturer. They have imperial threads which sugges...

Re: Works 91/93 'standard' rims

From recollection, the Works 91 share the same rear hubs as the works 93, the front are the same as the YZ 10 long suspension arm hubs. The works 91 instructions also called for small o rings to be placed over the drive shaft prior to fitting the hubs. I can't remember if this was for both the front...

Thanks Dan.

Due to moving and having to put all my Yokomos in the attic space I'm putting this one up for auction in the next few days

Let someone else enjoy her....

Small update, I managed to get the correct magnesium bulkhead of eBay. It was described as a YZ 10 Front gearbox casing 8) http://i888.photobucket.com/albums/ac87/superdez75/temporary_zpse677b6a4.jpg http://i888.photobucket.com/albums/ac87/superdez75/temporary_zpsfcc7007f.jpg http://i888.photobucket...

Re: Cause I don't have enough going on....YZ870 edition

Regarding the belt tension, is the rear okay? The later works cars had slotted holes for the motor mount to adjust the tension on the front belt. If the tension is fine on the rear you could slot the rear bulkhead holes and use the fixed spacers as employed on the works cars.
