Re: Vintage Trinity Commutator Lathe (for stock motors)
Looks as though you might have a Trinity RC4107.

Re: Vintage Trinity Commutator Lathe (for stock motors)
Just looking at the pic, I would guess that you need a pulley for the motor you are cutting (it would go on just like a pinion gear) and an o-ring/drive belt to go around the pulley on the drive motor and the missing pulley.

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary
Apart from being historically inaccurate, why not use velcro on the sides and avoid drilling any holes in body? The RC10 seems tailor made for this. Or does the body not sit as closely to the sides of the tub as I think it does? (I never owned one; I just had the 10T). All of my vintage Schuey buggi...

Re: Things that irritate you
Honestly, I expected that, by now, every commercial would have a character named Alexa. One character says "What are you going to do today ALEXA?". The other replies quickly "Buy {product} from Amazon!"

Re: Repairing Novak 4 esc _ what tools and what parts?
Fine tip will work, but if you have a larger one, it will transfer the heat better. The smaller tips are good for tighter spaces and small and/or easily damaged components. The down side to small tips is that they don't retain heat well. Instead of quickly heating the PCB trace and component leads, ...

Re: Repairing Novak 4 esc _ what tools and what parts?
You could also remove one of the other FETs and use it as a guide to trim the leads on the replacement. Make them a close match and put them back on the board to verify that the tops of the built in heatsinks are even. The trick to soldering is to get the lead and the trace on the PCB ho enough to a...

No, they will be fine. The meter is applying a voltage to them, that is why they do that.

Re: Repairing Novak 4 esc _ what tools and what parts?
I did a cross reference and yours are correct- BUZ11 replaces BUZ10A. I don't think the leads will be a problem if installed with the correct amount of solder. It won't short unless the solder is globbed on. Before installing the case and applying power, measure for a short between the pins to verif...

Re: Trintiy Brian Kinwald World Champion Ad
I missed this when originally posted. :? The "Brian" that followed him home at the 97 Worlds is the Brian that used to kick all of our a$$es at a track in Louisville  When I got back into RC cars after a 20ish year break, I wondered if he had "made it" because he was so much...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
My re-re Schumacher parts stash had gotten out of control, so I finally sorted it. It is still a mess, but at least one box is chassis parts, one box suspension, one box shocks.... Considering how much I have amassed in a few years basically supporting just 2 kits (OG CAT and ally pan 2WD), I couldn...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
That's a good approximation of the 'other' Schumacher page.... which was no longer open for business, last time I checked. Shame... some people put good time into the community there, so it's sad that it was ruined by the ego of one who puts the dick in dictator.... The group is still viewable, but...

Big thanks to @Bormac for the delivery services, cleaning, sorting, bagging, rebuilding, and for being just a good bloke... and to Richard for the Tamiya stuff and some electricals. Now to get started on race-readying..... only 6 months to go to Vintage Bash 3.0! I suspected you were the "Alex...
