Re: #6007 RC10 40th Classic Kit

Edit- I really hope this doesn't come across as a "RTFM" post. I literally just downloaded the manual this morning to kill time before work starts and saw the answer to your question. I don't pretend to know these things myself, but I notice the manual for the 40th anniversary kit shows 4 ...

Agreed, but it is a 'want' more than a 'need'.
Exactly, if we eliminate everything we don't actually "need", the whole hobby goes out the window.

Re: Starting a best shock argument !

I am the worst driver and Masami is the greatest, therefore XLS shocks must be the best. They perform well across the entire skill range.

Re: Let's Talk Tractor / Truck Pulling

I have nothing to add except that I am looking forward to seeing what you build. :D If the rules aren't too restrictive, I think you could make something pretty wild. I am picturing a circle of 4 or 5 motors all turning the same spur gear, maybe driving a scale looking Dana axle from a crawler. :D

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary

I’m going retro-mod on this and darn it’s hard to find current production (non-crawler) brushed motors for dirt buggies. Thinking the Tamiya Sport Tuned is the easy answer. Any other suggestions? To keep this on topic, a Re-re AE brushed 540 motor would be the icing on the cake for these anniversar...

What would be interesting?
It isn't 40 yet, but how about the original RC10T? Trucks were hugely popular where I raced, so that is my idea of vintage AE.

Oh, if you can't tell, it is a Texaco sponsored car! :D

I suspected it was...but wasn't sure.

She's a beaut, Clark! The chassis, the batteries, the Cossie body, the Texaco scheme, all of it!

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)

I took the RC crawler to Clifty Falls (Madison IN) and saw this little guy sunbathing.

I texted the pic to my wife and told her I couldn't believe my luck, finding a giant turtle and a giant quarter on the same day. She didn't get it. :?

Re: Vintage Edinger motor stopped working

I have never opened one, but I have read various methods on this site. If no one responds, you might try searching. Your motor has been opened at least once already as evidenced by the motor tabs. You might be able to get a small flat blade screwdriver under them and pry them up to remove the cummut...
