Re: a thread for BambuLab machines

I've been using the Phoenix nylon and am very impressed with the bonding and strength. It has normal nylon flex. I haven't tried their glass or CF nylon yet but the s is a very good product.

Re: Repairing Novak 4 esc _ what tools and what parts?

It seems like silver solder usually has a much higher melting temp snd doesn't fliw as well. I personally wouldn't use it for this. I'd use silver solder only for attaching wires to motor terminals, if I was going to use it.

Re: Things that irritate you

Are you using something to hold the connector? Some type of clamp or clip? That will really reduce the frustration.

Re: rc12e - how to get started with it

What is the ground clearance supposed to be? Maybe the tires are worn down? The ground clearance back in the day was the minimum you could get away with without scraping/dragging (getting slowed down. On road oan cars are meant for smooth surface needing minimal clearance. The downside of truing th...

I recently got a silver label Revolution. The can is marked S6 or 56. It's a single wind. Any thoughts which motor this is?

19T brushed motor is not same thing as 17.5T brushless. But yes, a 17.5T brushless setup should be ok.

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary

A vintage Novak or Tekin ESC and a vintage brushed motor would look best on the shelf and would be fine for occasional runs. For brand new motor and ESC, the Hobbywing 1060 and 1080 ESCs are good values. The Reedy Radon 2 19T would give good performance and look nice in thd buggy.

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary

That will be a nice build! How frequent of runner are you planning to make it? A brushed motor requires some periodic maintenance (cleaning, brushes, etc) and some attention to limiting the run time to prevent overheating.

Re: Project Hyper Hornet

I settled on a front shock tower design that worked with the CRP mount plate, didn't require any more chassis trimming, and didn't require any body trimming. I also made some upper control links with some adjustment capability. Then added some Traxxas link ends to the threaded tops of the shocks. Th...

A lot more work to do still, but at least the fun part is out of the way now and I can start the tedious frustrating detailed part. 😂
