Re: Who else loves the Stadium Blitzer?

My first RC kit was a Blitzer. I have a fully restored original one and one I modified to drive. They're the best.

Re: Finally, the official Futaba FXT thread

Finished the build minus the body, used all new/very good electronics, all Futaba, as per the box. Enjoy!

I haven't decided if I'm going to tackle the body or have a pro do it. Not a terribly difficult scheme, but I'd hate to mess up.

Original Midnight Pumpkin replica

Built a replica with the re-re Black Edition. My first Tamiya RC truck was a Quick Drive Midnight Pumpkin in the 90s, so wanted to finally build a real one. Sourced original tie rods/white ends, era correct electronics, hardly anything else is different chassis-wise. In the middle of body work, but ...

Re: Finally, the official Futaba FXT thread

That's awesome and relieving to see that it is indeed a complete kit. Also nice to see a member here got it. I don't think I'd have it in me to build a new kit, I'd probably leave it unassembled in the box on the shelf. The FXT was my first hobby grade RC, and I hoard them like folks here have hoar...

Re: Finally, the official Futaba FXT thread

Just saw this yesterday evening. Opened box but unassembled FXT kit. I did not bid, have too many already. Curious if anyone here on the forum won the auction. The Ebay find is indeed a complete kit, yes expensive, but less than I've seen them go for, and I've been looking for one for years. Notice...

Now I have to clean this.
Love the wheels! They're reminiscent of the old Pro-Line LXT wheels. Classic styling.

Like calling in to a radio contest bitd. Assuming they went in order, 23 people beat you to it immediately after.......
Probably! I ordered 2 so I could keep one sealed. The other is 194.

Re: Early threaded losi/AE collar question

Not sure I'd call the threaded shock bodies "early" but I measured my T3 & XXT, both shock bodies (NOT threaded) are about 1/2" outside diameter.

Re: The Ugly Truckling JRXT

I LOVE the idea of using the "not shelf quality" stuff to build a runner! The last time I had a bunch of spare Losi parts laying around I ended up doing a full resto-mod LXT. Excellent work sir.

Re: LXT axle length

The A-1005 & A-1012 front axles are both the same length…I measure .700” length from the shoulder to the end of the axle on both of them. The only difference is the set screw to lock it against the king pin. What you are seeing on your LXT is correct due to the added inner spacer…all the other ...

Re: LXT axle length

I bought new axles, which of course were the same, BUT they came with (genuine) Losi nylon nuts, which are thinner (than the aftermarket ones I had) & now they're nice and flush... So I can stare at my pristine LXT on the shelf and smile

Re: LXT axle length

They do have a set screw. I'm not 100% on the spacers, but they are pretty thin (definitely thinner than the rear ones), just thick enough to get the wheels to not touch the steering. I might just need to bite the bullet on the 1012s to see. Thanks!

LXT axle length

For some reason, the front wheel nuts don't go past the end of the axle, my OCD dislikes this! I scoured the internet & it appears that they should. The only thing I can think of is that I have the wrong axles. The spindles & wheels are definitely correct. I am using the factory spacer (A302...
